My 2 grandsons, age 10 and 12 were ecstatic! Between the games, searching for clues for the escape room, and finally falling into exhaustion in the comfy hammocks, they were 100% happy! As grandparents go, I was more satisfied with the practical side: a super clean, stylish place with all the comforts of home. And, Nate was a friendly, responsive host whose property exceeded my expectations. This B & B was the best!

I booked the Game House for my daughter’s 15th birthday and we brought two of her friends. It was perfect! We had so much fun, the house was so clean and comfortable, theme was amazing, all of us barely even looked at our phones during our stay we stayed busy playing, it was a really great time and I’d love to come back!

Such a unique stay! It felt like stepping straight into an 80s/90s time capsule, with the added bonus of a built-in escape room. Every single detail was thoughtfully curated. The check-in and overall process were so seamless that we never needed to reach out to the hosts. It was a completely immersive and mind-blowing experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (P.S. I think we may have left some garbage in the can—so sorry about that!)

To say we loved our stay is quite the understatement. I was obsessed with all the 80s nostalgia and explaining some of it to my kiddos. I literally could not get enough of all the details. The kids and my husband completed the escape room task and again we were obsessed. I can't give any spoliers, you just have to go do it. *I have been singing that phone number for days* ;) Nate's food recs were so on point. Secret Sandwich Society brussel sprouts will be in my dreams for weeks. If you are skiing at Winterplace like we were, Zappers was the best end of the evening stop. And the Wood Iron for breakfast to end our stay was chefs kiss on the weekend. The little heater heated that house in a jiffy, it was neat and clean and the kids were so entertained as were the adults. We can't wait to be hosted again by Nate!

we live in oakhill and busy with work and stuff, our daughter birthday was coming up and we were looking for something different but close to home. Little did we know this little gem was hidden basically across the street from where we currently live. The house is amazing, has everything you need. So many games and the escape room was so fun. There is a fire pit out back and firewood available in front of the house sold by a local little boy. Everything about the house was amazing, we truly had the best time right in our own backyard. Thank you for an incredible house 💜

We had a fabulous time at The Game House! Right off the bat, we did the escape room, and it was a highlight of our vacation. It was so creative and well done. Highly recommend! We could have stayed for weeks trying all of the different board games they made available to their guests. My kids, of course, loved the Nerf guns and arcade games, etc. It was honestly just fun walking around and finding all of the little details they've incorporated. Even the toilet brush was on theme! We were in town to explore the New River Gorge National Park, and the location was fantastic. Rachel and Nate gave us so much great information about the area, and they were excellent communicators throughout our stay. Book it! You won't be disappointed!

We had a wonderful one-night stay at the Game House! The home was absolutely pristine and located on a very quiet street, making it the perfect place to relax. The board game and video game décor was such a fun touch and gave the house a great vibe—we loved exploring all the little details throughout the space. We ended up staying up past midnight, sitting around the table (the chairs are SO comfortable!), playing board games, and making memories. We even left one of our favorite card games, Five Crowns, for future guests to enjoy. Check-in and check-out were seamless and easy, and the king-size bed was incredibly comfortable—I don’t think I moved all night! Truly zero complaints. We would absolutely stay here again.

This place will exceed all expectations you ever have. The place was an unforgettable experience and the hosts were super friendly. We felt like we right back in the 80s. We absolutely loved our stay and we are looking forward to checking out other places this host has!

Mothmanor was truly the best Airbnb we have stayed at- wow wow wow. The attention to detail in the art, the atmosphere, even the cookie cutters (!!) were incredible. The escape room was so fun (and, no spoilers, but the ending was DEFINITELY worth it). The downstairs was awesome- we didn’t have enough time to even play all the games we wanted so will definitely be back! Perfect location, great amenities, highly recommend for anyone in the area. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

This was the most unique place that we’ve had the pleasure to visit! Everything was pristinely clean. Imagine walking through a time warp into your childhood home, but so much cooler! We were able to meet Nate! It was so awesome to hear about sourcing the decor and exciting upcoming projects. Nate and Rachel have such passion for their projects. It is evident in every inch of the home. The escape game was super fun with some really interesting twists and mechanisms! Make sure to look into their other rentals and check out the NEW Studio B location featuring The Pepperoni Roll Museum (should be up by spring ‘26). This awesome couple is hand-crafting amazing immersive experiences. We can’t wait to do MothManor!
