Tons of details like a salad bar, arcade games, console TV & VCR, tons of toys you used to have all make it an immersive experience. Just outside New River Gorge National Park, you can dive into memories with your kids or your friends. Need more space? The Game & Wizard Houses are literally around the corner.

Good to know

It's a cute 1950s Sears kit home in a quiet and safe blue collar neighborhood. The house has a fully fenced yard for your pups and a nice sized yard with fire pit. The rear deck has ample space and a propane grill. The New River Gorge Bridge, Ace Adventure Park, and downtown Fayetteville are only 10 minutes away! All the rafting companies are within 15 minutes. Most of the trails and sights in NRG are within a half hour drive. If you're looking for an extra fun place to stay while you visit the New River Gorge National Park, stay at Time Warp 80s!

Other Details to Note

Please be gentle with the furnishings, they were quite a bit of time and effort to acquire. The toys in the kids room are meant to be played with, if something is up high kindly let it be a decoration and reminder of your childhood. =) The house has a secret room though, can you find it?

Such a unique stay! It felt like stepping straight into an 80s/90s time capsule, with the added bonus of a built-in escape room. Every single detail was thoughtfully curated. The check-in and overall process were so seamless that we never needed to reach out to the hosts. It was a completely immersive and mind-blowing experience. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (P.S. I think we may have left some garbage in the can—so sorry about that!)

To say we loved our stay is quite the understatement. I was obsessed with all the 80s nostalgia and explaining some of it to my kiddos. I literally could not get enough of all the details. The kids and my husband completed the escape room task and again we were obsessed. I can't give any spoliers, you just have to go do it. *I have been singing that phone number for days* ;) Nate's food recs were so on point. Secret Sandwich Society brussel sprouts will be in my dreams for weeks. If you are skiing at Winterplace like we were, Zappers was the best end of the evening stop. And the Wood Iron for breakfast to end our stay was chefs kiss on the weekend. The little heater heated that house in a jiffy, it was neat and clean and the kids were so entertained as were the adults. We can't wait to be hosted again by Nate!

This was the most unique place that we’ve had the pleasure to visit! Everything was pristinely clean. Imagine walking through a time warp into your childhood home, but so much cooler! We were able to meet Nate! It was so awesome to hear about sourcing the decor and exciting upcoming projects. Nate and Rachel have such passion for their projects. It is evident in every inch of the home. The escape game was super fun with some really interesting twists and mechanisms! Make sure to look into their other rentals and check out the NEW Studio B location featuring The Pepperoni Roll Museum (should be up by spring ‘26). This awesome couple is hand-crafting amazing immersive experiences. We can’t wait to do MothManor!

This place is amazing. Just like the photos and then some. As an 80’s kid, this made my inner child so happy. So much detail, the escape room game was such a fun feature and I honestly felt like I was chillin at my Great Aunt Dorothy’s living room. Genius - 10/10 experience.

This was by far our favorite Air bnb! Stayed for our daughter’s 29th birthday and she said it was the best birthday celebration yet, the Pizza Hut room was perfect to have a kids style pizza party. We all fell in love with the nostalgia of each room and all the details, my daughter says it was a true core memory made with us all staying there together. We can’t recommend it enough, especially the escape room, it was my husband and I’s first one and was the most fun family activity we’ve ever done. It took us around 5 or so hours to complete it and the ending brought my daughter and I to tears- so worth it! This place is worth all the hype, love and appreciation, the hosts poured so much love into each and every aspect and created such a magical place that we will never forget. The only bad thing about this place is that you will really never want to leave and when you do it won’t leave your mind how much you want to be back in the cozy living room with the static tv and a tv tray.

We had a blast staying at this 80’s themed house! The amount of detail that the hosts put into the house was incredible. It took us over 4 hours to complete the escape room and we used a lot of hints too! The kids loved the Pizza Hut kitchen, pac man and playing Nintendo. We can’t wait to go back.

Absolutely incredible! We never left the house! We were transported back in time and it felt so relaxing and easy. The escape room took us 5+ hours...it was SO fun! When we found the secret room, we were amazed and thrilled! Every single corner, drawer, and shelf was so perfectly planned. My mom (65), myself (41), my daughters and niece (11, 7, 14) had an unforgettable time together reliving the past, eating in Pizza Hut, watching 80s movies and 90s shows, and competing for high scores at Pacman. Our girls got to experience a time unknown to them and they LOVED it. I could not recommend this house or hosts enough! Hosts were kind, informative, so incredibly organized, and creative. The town was quiet and accessible. You could get what you need, order food, and visit a few incredible sights. One million stars.

This air bnb is the cutest and it truly took you back to the 80's/90's. The furniture, rugs, toys, bathroom decor, kitchen, and dining area made you feel you were living your childhood all over again! We couldn't get over the fact the walls in the dining area and bedroom were hand painted--it's amazing! We got carry out pizza hut and enjoyed dinner in the pizza hut dining room--i would 100% recommend doing this! Also, the escape room was just a bonus; although, we did have to use a lot of the hints, lol!!! The host put a lot of creativity in this house, along with all the detail. I am a local and would definitely recommend renting this place. The cleanliness of this house was also a huge plus! We are excited to try the other houses they host in the area!

Find us

The New River Gorge Bridge, Fayetteville, and Ace Adventure Park are all just over 10 minutes away. There are numerous trails within 15-20 minutes. Oak Hill is a nice central location to visit the New River Gorge National Park. You can walk to Tudor's Biscuit World or McDonald's for breakfast, but generally you'll want a car.
