About

Set deep in a "holler", a one way valley between mountains, The 48 is a totally renovated 1948 Spartan camper, which predates Airstream. Make some coffee and enjoy it between the mountains before headed out for hiking, rafting, or climbing. The cozy interior has a midcentury modern feel, modern appliances, and a tankless water heater for long luxurious showers. The table converts to a queen size bed with 6" mattress + topper. PS If you shop at big and tall, this may not be the one for you.

Good to know

The 48 sits on its own lot about 100 feet away from the nearest house. The lot includes its own driveway, firepit, picnic table, and grill. It's tucked away at the end of our holler, the neighbors are all out of view (except our own house next door that will become the Steampunk house.) It's a very friendly neighborhood, neighbors may stop to say hi. There are also friendly free range dogs you might meet.

The host offered a slew of recommendations which was great. The accommodations were wonderful, and very close to the national park! We had a beautiful stay and will be returning!
